Ten minutes of free writing.
Fun fact. My husband washes all his clothes because I shrank one of his wool jumpers about ten years ago. I have since gone on to shrink multiple jumpers of my own which is why I don’t own any cashmere.
From jumpers to socks, anyone who knows me knows I love bright, patterned, fun socks. Today I sketched some of my collection, yes I own those bad boys! One of my secret dreams is to collaborate on a sock brand. Putting that out into the Universe.
I made the socks too big and then had to rush to colour them in which annoyed me. But now I look again, I quite like that they are messy and imperfect it gives a vibe. If it was coloured in perfectly it would be boring.
Ten minute sketch - felt tip pens
Starter for Ten (S410) is a daily creative exercise that I will do for the next 30 days. I set a ten-minute timer and write whatever comes into my head. After that I do the same to create a visual. The idea is to loosen up, create daily and get over the idea that everything I make needs to be perfect or have a purpose.
I will document the process here on this site and on my Instagram stories. Photos will be unedited to keep it real. This challenge both terrifies and excites me, let’s see what happens.
